This project explores how the media subtly sets a baseline for beauty standards - influencing the way we think we 'should' look, often leading to harmful effects on both everyday people and celebrities. Based on my research, I created a series of visuals for a publication, using mixed media to highlight the pressure and unrealistic ideals promoted through mainstream imagery. This publication celebrates things sometimes seen as taboo.
